In Korea, there is a lecture program called Sebasi Talk.
It is for the general public to give various
lectures for 15 minutes by professionals who have gained knowledge in various fields.
A South Korean architect named Yoo Hyun-joon criticized the school structure in Korea.
His logic was based on a number of sciences and his argument was reasonable.
It reminded the public of how disastrous Korean schools were,
which the Korean people did not usually think.
Western countries have reasonable and eco-friendly school buildings. However, many Asian countries are insensitive to these areas, and so is Korea.
The larger the size of the Korean school, the higher the building, and the larger the fence.
This sort of thing symbolizes totalitarianism. Korean society does not recognize diversity.
Also, Korean schools show it well. Korean students wear the same uniform, wear the same desk,
and study in the same classroom every day. For them, there is no freedom of choice of dress,
class choice. This is no different from a totalitarian life.
The lecturer gives a variety of reasons and gives opinions to the audience.
Will young children and studnts living in this environment be able to accept a society
that recognizes diversity as they grow up?
No, the fact that they can't is already seen in the reality of Korean society.
In fact, Koreans are among those who cannot accept new things and diversity.
He also cites research from overseas professors.
In fact, he explains based on research that people living in lower buildings
have more friends than people living in higher buildings,
and that people have better learning effects in buildings with higher floors than 2.6 meters tall.
First of all, the solution is to renovate the Korean building
as a whole and make it as low-rise as possible.
And it's right to abolish things like the school uniform system that make everyone totalitarian.
And we need to tear down the fence and create a more open place.
Sadly, however, the majority do not even recognise that this is a problem.
Unfortunately. However, it is a homework that we must solve someday.
Not only Korea but also Japan.
This totalitarian mindset in East Asian countries will eventually destroy
the diversity of society and reduce the quality of people's lives. This is a serious matter.
I don't know how long I'll visit this blog,
but I hope foreigners who read
this article know that Korea has more serious problems than they thought,
and if there is a chance to tell the world about it,
I hope they will know more.
Thank you for your criticism. Criticism is always needed. Thank you for reading it.
